March 2017, Ascend UAV has tested a multirotor UAV mounted methane gas detector. The initial results from the test flights show successful detection of fuel gas venting. With GIS modeling a cloud model should be able to be rendered. Live streaming of the methane detector reading is being prototyped to aid in real-time leak detection.
